PHR Purpose and Goals
The stage is now set for an alternative form of health information
exchange that is patient centric

PHR will link patients and their physicians electronically
Development of an 'electronic container' for a patient’s PHR
All pertinent medical information in a patient's PHR will be available for review
by physicians in ER, hospital admission or office settings
