Buying Consortium

NIPFC is working to foster both a secure network for healthcare data exchange and a consortium for purchasing computer hardware, software, and IT consulting services. The NIPFC Buying Consortium makes participation beneficial to medical practices that have already implemented an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as well as practices that are exploring the purchase of an EMR. Above all, NIPFC is a regional organization of physicians dedicated to applying the benefits of information technology for the maximization of the quality of health care.

NIPFC’s EMR Vendor Selection Committee is reviewing RFP responses from EMR vendors and structured vendor demos. EMR systems under consideration have been highly rated by KLAS and have achieved CCHIT Certification in 2008 and/or 2009. We plan to complete this process by September 2010.
